The Rhode Island Indian Council advises various local and national political leaders on matters related to Native Americans, including employment & training, housing, health issues, education and economic development. We are a partner member and therefore on the Board of Directors of Heritage Harbor Museum, a statewide museum scheduled to open in the near future, focusing on the history of Rhode Island and its people.In the Fall of 2005, the Rhode Island Indian Council plans to bring to Rhode Island the traveling art museum on a train called Artrain USA, thus fulfilling our mission of enriching lives and building communities and pride within our own community.
